Welcome to the September issue of CODAmagazine, where we share the best design + art projects from all over the world. We’re an online community for artists, design professionals, and industry resources to showcase their work, collaborate with one another, and find the creative resources they need for future projects.

Did you know that the CODAawards pre-date CODAworx? The idea, to showcase outstanding projects from public art makers and facilitators came to me and my dear friend (and current CODAworx Board Member) Ilene Shaw as an inspiring and noble endeavor, and after the first CODAwards were such a success, I thought to myself, ”Hmm..there is more that can be done.” CODAworx evolved from the CODAawards, and has become a leading company in an industry few people thought of as an industry at the time.

I still look forward to the CODAawards each year, and I am so happy to play a role in spreading awareness of the top artwork projects involving leading artists, fabricators, and both private sector and government advocates for public art

In the spirit of collaboration, the CODAawards recognize not just the winners, but the entire industry that comes together to transform the world with beautiful and meaningful public art projects. In fact, at CODAsummit: San Jose next month, attendees will have the opportunity to connect at the CODAawards Celebration Party! and participate in an industry survey we have been working on.
