Welcome to the August issue of CODAmagazine, where we share the best design + art projects from all over the world. This magazine is published once a month by CODAworx. We’re an online community for artists, design professionals, and industry resources to showcase their work, collaborate with one another, and find the creative resources they need for future projects.

Artwork that brings together the distinctive elements of sound, light, and motion creates a veritable feast for the senses, and with this month’s magazine, we invite you to sit down at our table and explore what creatives are cooking up. Contemporary creatives such as SpY and Maria Finkelmeier have developed sophisticated designs to encourage the use of multiple senses at once. Artists are experimenting, looking forward to the future, and pondering how to enhance their concepts with compositions, projectors, and components (or entire artworks!) that emit sound, glow, or move–sometimes all at once.

Reflections about the possibilities that all three mediums provide will continue at CODAsummit: The Intersection of Art, Technology and Place this October. I am so proud of the rare visionaries on the agenda this year, as they understand the importance of sharing knowledge with others. Tickets to this extravaganza in Denver, Colorado–a city with a rich history of public art–are available for purchase, so if you are interested in attending, networking, and partying with some of the most influential creatives, I suggest you register soon.

CODAworx celebrates these thought-provoking geniuses and the work they do. The brilliant lights, sounds, and elegant motions of interactive or immersive art can create visceral, beautiful moments in many lives. I suspect these fields of art and their fans will play an increasingly prominent role in the years to come.
