Overview
Commissioned for Portland International Airport, this carved wall sculpture is constructed entirely from Douglas fir timbers reclaimed from Portland Buildings. The project is a nod to the vital importance of timber generally and Douglas fir specifically in the development of cities like Portland. But it also references the incredible (and varied) efforts in the region to develop wood products and practices that are truly sustainable for our future.
