Overview
Inspired by the Mystic Poet Rumi and spiritual writings, “Cosmic Heart” was installed and Music co created by a collaborator to create an extraordinary experience in the gallery.
Cosmic Consciousness was the goal of this project as well as creating a place of wonder. Installed in a corner it is 30 inches w x 30 inches deep and 7 and a half feet high with a reflected sphere in the center creating a mirrored space to experience infinity.
“Visualize yourself in that infinite state. Identify yourself with it in order to awaken within you the lost memory of what we are in reality: Children of Infinity. For that alone is what we really are.”
An installation bringing cosmic awareness and vastness of an infinite universe to a viewer’s experience. Ultimate goal is to inspire love!
Goals
The commissioned artwork goal was to create the experience of oneness and wonder of the cosmos into the exhibition. It was the ultimate goal to have a highlight and an uplifting ending installation in the solo exhibition, and this work ( although the music and the projected image was omitted due to gallery circumstances) still met the goal in the silence.
Process
Creating digital drawings of each individual piece for fabrication by the laser cutting machines and installing them in a challenging environment with uneven walls, was a challenge and were able to overcome with patience and hardwork measuring and adjusting with the installation .
