Overview
This 184'x25' mural tells the story of invention and ideas, and how they expand and grow to shape our futures. As viewers move from the outside corner, towards the main building entrance, they will discover four distinct scenes exploring how ideas, experiments, and inventions can shape our world and our future. The narrative of the artwork mirrors much of Qualcomm’s own success story in generating new ideas and technologies that grow to change the world.
Goals
This was a percent of development art in public places project. Given a broad scope of "technology" as the subject matter, we created this mural to focus on living aspects of technology that could be brought to life via augmented reality.
Process
There was significant involvement from the client in both design and installation. Numerous iterations of the artwork were submitted before approval, and significant coordination was required for the install - it was a planned corporate surprise for the Qualcomm executives and Board of Directors, so it had to be installed on their corporate campus in 1 night.
Additional Information
It's the largest outdoor mural in the world that is enhanced by augmented reality.
