Overview

A 3-dimensional painting made on Mylar with gold leaf, oil paint, and acrylic paint on Lexan cut shapes; wire pins, and nails. The size is 48h x 96w x 3d inches. It was shipped from Massachusetts to California, where a custom Plexiglass case was made, and cleats were installed on the back for easy wall mounting.

Goals

The goal was to produce something uplifting and beautiful for the cancer center lobby, where patients wait for their appointments.

Process

The process was straightforward. I worked with an art management company that knew of my work and proposed it to the client. We went back and forth with Photoshop sketches until a color palette and basic design were agreed upon. Once I got the "okay" to proceed, I started the painting and sent monthly updates for approval.

Additional Information

I enjoy the process of working with clients, listening to their requests, and offering options while keeping the integrity of my creative intentions foremost.
